Sony HDR FX7E - Sony HD Camcorder
The Sony HDR FX7E HDV camcorder is an exciting new addition to the ‘Prosumer’ camcorder market and it comes at a great price considering its high end capabilities.
The camera which was recently voted "Best Professional Camcorder" in 2007 by the TIPA features a number of professional capabilities and features including; the new revolutionary CMOS sensor system (the 3Clearvid), great shooting options thanks to the incredible Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* which has Extra low dispersion glass and a 20 x optical zoon lens with F2.8 at the telephoto end which allow for very flexible shooting options, the digital extender feature that extends the focal length by 1.5 times so that the focal length at the tele-photo end can be an incredible 1100mm (if compared to a 35mm conversion). And incredibly, one of the most exciting features is a Progressive 25p shooting option!

Sony HDR FX7E - Review
This is a very easy to use and high end video camera from Sony. The 20x optical zoom is amazing and works great in the outdoors. This HDV is a very nice step up from my DCr-Vx2100 that I have been using for 4+ years. Just hope it can handle the outdoors... I am very happy. M. Tichy (Mar 2007)
